Yup, I hate to say it but this year seems to be hurtling towards a conclusion.

Our elections are about upon us (I suspect our supreme court will rule Bush President for another four years sometime this week).

That's not what bothers me, no, not that at all.
What bothers me is everyone has gotten another year older and the prime of the music has come and gone.
I am actually getting tired of the "reunion" tours that keep coming around now. Most of the time they are such a disappointment. Mostly a bunch of guys who have either shaved off the hair on their heads or gone bald, or both. They all have gained a few pounds (I'll actually forgive that) and most of them have forgotten how their songs are really supposed to go.

These are the bands, that promised us, SWORE to almighty heaven they would NEVER change or sell out.

Well they have changed, and their shows are pretty skimpy too. Remember when people used to say "oh, those bands are all image, no talent?" and we used to remark back "hey they got looks AND can play!"
Now I wished they still had those gimmicks and looks, 'cuz it's boring watching a bunch of 40 to 50 year old guys just stand in 1 spot on the stage and do nothing to earn that $50 to $80 we spent on a ticket.

This will be one of those fads I will be glad to see end. Until they can dish it out, I don't want to hear the talk.

I'd give my left nut for a fully functional time machine right now...

Ach! Pass the Kool-Aid, Jim Jones... *weeps for the future of American music*
